Devotion Society By Lady Topaz
Anyone heard of kinky summer school? No? Devotion Society, by Lady Topaz, has got you covered.
Last month, I attended this fun little high-protocol event, together with half a dozen Dommes and half a dozen subs, in a flat in Central London.
Academy of Obedience was the third edition of Devotion Society: an intimate and entertaining afternoon of teasing, gold stars, and funishments.

Shall we take a closer look?
EVENT: It’s called Devotion Society, and it’s run by Lady Topaz. Each edition follows a different theme, and this was event number three. The theme? Academy of Obedience, with a back-to-school vibe!
TIMING: Devotion Society runs a few times a year, usually on a weekend. It starts in the afternoon and continues into the evening.
FORMAT: Around a dozen attendees, plus the host, with equal numbers of Dommes and subs. Once everyone arrives, we begin with introductions before moving on to a schedule of games and entertainment. Nibbles and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are served throughout the afternoon, with a side of foot massages (optional).
VENUE: The location changes every time, but it’s always held somewhere in Central London, often in an Airbnb flat.

HOST: Lady Topaz is a wonderful and entertaining host. Her bubbly personality paired with a delightfully mean streak makes for a great combination. She wanted to explore the idea of a high-protocol event while giving back to the Femdom community, and to challenge herself by creating something new. That’s how Devotion Society was born.
TICKETS: There are different ticket types depending on your role (Domme or submissive). Make sure you follow Lady Topaz and meet her at events, as Devotion Society is currently invite-only. Plus-ones are welcome, but only after being vetted by Lady Topaz.
ACTIVITIES: If you liked school… you’d have loved this event! The theme for this event was back to school, with an afternoon of discipline, structured lessons, and academic correction. You can probably guess who plays the teachers and who ends up as the students (*giggles*). The afternoon is packed with lessons and activities across a variety of subjects, testing each sub’s attentiveness, service, composure, and practical skills.
DRESS CODE: LLike many Femdom events, Dommes can wear whatever makes them feel powerful. That could be anything from a ballgown to a tracksuit. Subs are expected to wear all black, with a collar. No joggers or sweatpants. Fetishwear is welcome but by no means essential.
KEY RULES: All guests are required to complete a form before the event, which includes disclosing limits. The house rules and protocol for Devotion Society are shared before the event and reviewed again on the day, giving everyone the opportunity to read and understand them. Subs wear tags attached to their collars displaying their personal limits.
OTHER RULES: As usual, photography by guests is not allowed without expressed permission by Lady Topaz. Consent is king, and the safeword is “red” (“orange” can also be used if needed).

Themed events really help you to come up with exciting fantasies and fitting punishments for not so well behaved submissives. In this case for me - reciting the alphabet with an apple in your mouth, balancing books or kneeling on rice for English class. Lady Topaz facilitated this evening filled with lessons, servitude and devotion exquisitely, enabling us Dommes to meet and connect and frankly plot. It has definitely left me wanting to join again some time in the near future.”

Who is Lady Topaz?
Lady Topaz is a London-based Lifestyle Domme and founder of Devotion Society, a high protocol femdom event series.
Mischievous, feminine, and playful, she adores being obeyed, worshipped, and indulged, with her own pleasure at the centre of it all.
Her approach to Femdom is creative and distinctly her own. From the themes of her events to the punishments she devises, she brings her artistic expression into everything she does.
She has a love of high protocol and good manners, but whatever the setting, she brings playfulness, spirit, and inventive ways to make each dynamic her own.
