Some more munches in London!
Because there is so many of them, I could never put them all in one blog pot 🙂
A while ago I wrote a post on Munches: dos and don’ts, and then another one on SOCIAL REVIEW: MUNCHES IN LONDON where I have covered some location-based munches (Wimbledon, Balham, Putney), a couple of FemDom munches (the Thursday and the weekend one), a Mac & Cheese munch, and the LSM one.
Now I thought it would be time to cover a few more 🙂
As per the last post on munches, here are some brief summaries with format, size, location, etc, so you can get an idea of what to expect. I hope it will help you pick something that works for you.
Drinks 4 Dommes
This special gathering started six years ago, and it was founded by someone who now has passed the baton to four others Dommes, who do an amazing job at running the event and welcoming newbies together.
This event is exclusive for female-identifying tops, regardless of their sexual preferences, experience level, or kink, and it’s a safe place for chatting, sharing experiences, and mentor one another. Meaning no boys, no men, no subs.
It takes place in a pub in North East London, monthly, on a weekday, and it’s pretty intimate. Size-wise is about 15-25 Dommes and we often there is a small number of pre-approved service subs to help out and allow the Dommes to focus on getting to know each other (fetching drinks from the bar, food, etc).
To find out where it is, you will need to be approved as a guest (organisers verify any new attendees), and you need to confirm your attendance. This is to avoid unwanted guests (think swarms of subs looking for a Domme and inviting themselves). Highly recommend if you are a new female top in the community and are looking for someone to talk to.
As I am into FemDom myself, it’s one of the munches I attend the most, even thou it was a school night and I do love sleeping, because I believe it’s totally worth it. They also have a group chat where you can stay in touch in-between munches. FetLife group here.
The London Crunch
Want a munch that is a little more than a munch? This is a newly launched munch in East London, I went to its second event, and it has a chilled vibe and friendly faces 🙂
I have attended the event for free, however moving forward it will be a few quids for entrance to cover running costs and DJ. Yes, DJ. It has a dancefloor!!
How does the organiser describe this event? “Well it’s basically a hybrid event; an eclectic combination of munch, social, house party and club night, all rolled into one.” And it takes place on Friday, which is great if you love chatting and dancing until late.
Size-wise, we are looking at about 100 guests, and it’s great for newbies. With a lot of usual suspects attending it means there will always be someone to help you mingle! FetLife page here.
Rope Munch
The Rope Munch is a long-standing event, having been established eight years ago. This monthly munch takes place on the third Monday of each month and is always held in Central London, in a beautiful and cosy pub.
Attendance varies between 25 to 75 people, with an average of about 35 regulars and newcomers attending (sort of 50/50 ratio).
The munch is organised by a team of three, who do a fantastic job of fostering an inclusive atmosphere. It is open to kinksters of all levels of rope experience, making it an excellent venue for both seasoned rope-lovers and new.
Their mascot? A Toy Cat, affectionately known as Molly (often seen in bondage). Also a nice touch is that attendees wear name tags, which make it easier for people like me (and their goldfish brains) to make introductions and conversations.
If you’re looking to learn, share your expertise, or simply enjoy the company of other rope-lovers, I would highly recommended to attend. Or should I say it’s the perfect place to tie together new friendships and experiences? FetLife here and also on IG.
Under 35 Munch
The Under 35 Munch has been a staple in the community for at least 15 years and it’s organised by a dedicated team of five (one of whom has been involved for over seven years!). They are dedicated and committed to ensure it runs smoothly and maintains a safe environment for all attendees, by vetting participants, welcoming newbies, and looking after al guests.
This event typically draws a crowd of 50-60 people, with around 25% of attendees being new each time, making it an excellent place for fresh faces to integrate into the community. The organisers are very active on social media and FetLife, where they engage with the community and respond to enquiries. They also post event details online, with listings planned out until the end of the year.
Held on the third Saturday of every month, the Under 35 Munch takes place in Central London, in a beautiful pub that has a dedicated room reserved. The focus is on fostering a welcoming and safe space for young kinksters.
If you’re under 35 and looking to connect with like-minded individuals in a safe and social environment, this munch is a fantastic place to start. If you are close to the age limit, I would strongly recommend messaging the organisers and check ahead to avoid any awkwardness on the day. FetLife group here.
Central London Boardgame Munch
The Central London Boardgame Munch is a lively event, in a kink-friendly pub near Angel. It started post-pandemic scene, and it’s run by a team of six dedicated organisers, and it’s held on the first Monday of every month.
The vibe is welcoming for both regulars and newcomers alike. It typically sees around 40 attendees, though it can occasionally peak at up to 90 participants. The crowd usually consists of 80% regulars, creating a familiar and friendly atmosphere, while 20% of attendees are new, ensuring fresh faces and new interactions at each event.
Boardgames are at the heart of this munch, with plenty of games available on the tables for everyone to enjoy. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own games, adding to the variety and fun. Since the event is held in a pub, it’s important to note that alcohol will be available, so plan your game choices accordingly.
Whether you are a boardgames fan or just looking to meet new people in a chilled setting, the Central London Boardgame Munch is a great way to spend your Monday evening, and you can’t miss them with all the boardgames on the tables 🙂 FetLife page here.
Of course munches don’t end here. There are many more, focusing on specific fetishes, like tattoos, or beards, or focusing on lifestyle, like the poly or the swinger munches, etc, and many more that are location based. Check out your local ones on FetLife.
Here below are the general rules I listed in my previous post, just as a refresher.
General rules (applicable to most munches):
- Rule number one: don’t be a dick.
- Munches are not places where you pick up kinksters – these events are for socialising
- No fancy dress, kinky, or fetish clothing – just wear whatever you would normally wear.
- Read the rules for each event, you will find them on the FL group – these might have tips to help you recognise the group (whether it’s a mascot, or a badge, or an armband, or a poster, or all the above, etc.).
- Confirm your attendance on FL, it’s a courtesy to the organisers who make the booking.
- When you arrive, don’t ask things like: ‘is this the kinky people gathering?’ – look for signage on tables etc.
- If you are not sure of where to go, ask at the bar for the monthly meeting/social or the booking under the organisers’ names.
- Stay safe! Like you would do with any other place, be aware of your surrounding – previously I wrote ‘I feel safer in a fetish club than a bar’, and that’s absolutely 100% true, but there are still weirdos out there, so take care of yourself.
If you are in doubt, or worried about anything at all, reach out to the organisers or attending kinksters to find out more. if the first organiser you message doesn’t respond, try the second etc; please bear in mind not everyone logs onto FL daily.
Have a good one, hope to see you at the next one!
