Interview with a Fitness Domme

Getting to know the UK kink community

It’s the New Year, and many of us are setting goals to get into shape. But what about those in the kink community? How do subs and Dommes approach fitness, and can it tie into their dynamic?

Well, I’ve got answers for you! I spoke to Louise Payn, Fitness Domme who combines her love of health, yoga, and the kink world to inspire and empower others.

From building strength to embracing discipline, she’s here to share her journey and tips for making fitness a part of your lifestyle in 2025.

About Louise Payn

Firstly, can you please tell us who you are and how you identify yourself?

I’m a Demisexual woman. This means that I require a strong emotional connection to engage in sexual relationships, and I don’t participate in sexual activity within professional power dynamic relationships.  In addition, I identify as a Dominant, Sadist, Trainer, and Handler. These aspects reflect how I navigate and express myself within my relationships and the BDSM community.

How does not having sex within power dynamics shape your relationships?

I keep sex and power dynamics separate to maintain clarity in professional relationships. In my personal relationships, sexual intimacy in these relationships is introduced when a close bond is built.

Now, let’s engage the senses…

What’s your favourite colour and why?

Blue because it’s blue and blue is the best colour!

If you were a drink what would you be?

I’d be a multi-coloured cocktail, because I am multifaceted.

What’s your signature item of clothing or tool and why?

I tend to the ‘comfy’ side when it comes to shoes, so probably My shiny boots.

What scent would you be?

The scent of morning dew on an oak leaf—”fresh and outdoorsy”, as My submissive describes Me.

Your fitness is the manifestation of your desire to please Me.

Louise Payn, Fitness Domme

You are a Fitness Domme, a personal trainer, fitness instructor, yoga teacher, massage therapist, introvert, neurospicy, and so much more…

What’s your personality like?

Leader, enthusiastic, friendly, approachable, direct, wise.

In three words, how would you describe yourself?

Greedy control freak.

What is a ‘Fitness Domme’? Can you tell me more?

Fitness Domination is more common than you think. There are a lot of people interested in it from a giving and a receiving point of view.

I do not speak to ‘what a Fitness Domme is’, but rather to ‘how I do Fitness Domination’. I get to know my clients and I create bespoke programmes for them to get them fitter, healthier and happier, possibly also more submissive. I use a power dynamic (with the classic carrot and stick model) to get my clients to perform their weekly workouts with accountability to Me. This is through a long-term dynamic.

It can also be used within a scene as part of a ‘forced fitness’ way of working out. This tends to the fantasy men bring to the kink, but I steer away from ‘forced fitness’ as I don’t think it achieves the level of behaviour change I want to achieve.

Who are your clients?

Just to be clear that I am both a lifestyle and a professional Domme.

I have personal submissives who I have built relationships with, they get to experience all of My kinks and Me as these evolve, including Fitness Domination.

Professional clients on the range from submissive women who want to improve their physique and discipline by doing yoga every day to men over 30 in the UK or abroad who engage in a D/s dynamic with and without the Fitness Element with Me online.

I have regular clients who I do online sessions with as well as regular chat and phone call clients on various platforms. I also see clients in person once a dynamic has been established and I prefer kinking with people over 35.

I have also had a Dominant woman come to my ‘Obey’ course and I have recently done some mentoring for someone who is new to the kink scene.

What kind of training sessions and courses do you run?

I have three courses, Endure, Submit and Obey.

  • Endure is an 8 week fitness and submissive course (there is a 4 week version available, Endure-lite).
  • Obey is an 8 week yoga and submissive course, (again, Obey-lite is a 4 week version available).
  • Submit is the 12 week in-depth Fitness/Yoga and Submissive course.

All of these courses are one to one and done at a time that suits both of us. I also run ‘Obey’ as a group course, three times a year and do a 1 hour workshop version of it at kink events. I also do Yoga for Dommes once a month on Sunday nights in Bedfordshire. I may also be starting a Yoga for subs soon.

Oh, I love yoga. Can you tell me a little more about it?

I found yoga as a means of being more flexible in my 30’s and have found so many benefits from the physical practise. More recently, having completed the Yoga teacher training course, I have found so many aspects to the 8 Limbs of Yoga philosophy that resonate with Me and have enhanced My life from a meditative and self-reflection point of view.

There is a lot to learn about it, breathing is a huge part of yoga and if you want to know more, why don’t you come along to my next course?

Sounds fantastic, I should probably try and join the next one then 😉

You are British, grew up in the countryside and have been a Domme for 8 years…

When did you discover the BDSM and fetish scene? And what made you pursue a life in the scene?

I discovered it in 2016/2017 and I believe the universe lead Me to the kink scene. There were many little signposts along the way and I followed them. A friend who was going through gender reassignment pointed Me to FetLife and another friend pointed Me to The Cruel Huntress (one of My favourite events and the first kink event I ever went to).

What made you stay?

The people, the love the constant learning. The acceptance, the creativity and the amazing hot fun we all have. Over the years, I have found such amazing solidarity amongst Dominant women and found such joy in learning how to train submissives. On My journey, people have shown immense generosity and acceptance and I am always open to learn new things from people, as well as being open to teaching.

What else are you involved in?

I am a PT, Yoga Teacher, Massage Therapist. I do this in the vanilla world as well as in the Kink world. I run Yoga for Dommes, and hoping to soon have a Yoga for subs.

The Yoga for Dommes is my contribution to a FemDom community in my local area (Bedfordshire). I hope through this event, to be able to network with other Dominant Women who can collaborate with Me on creating some FemDom events. Anyone interested, please get in touch!

I teach a kinky yoga class at Kinky Kamping in July and was scheduled this year to attend a FemDom retreat in Greece, as well as presenting my Obey Workshop at KinkFest. Sadly I was unable to attend the Greece and KinkFest trips due to health reasons, but I am on the mend now and so hope to be accepted for KinkFest again this year, as well as am in talks with other FemDom ladies about a UK FemDom retreat.

What is BDSM?

It’s the consensual exchange of power (see The ABC of BDSM), and is a combination of the abbreviations B/D (Bondage and Discipline), D/s (Dominance and submission), and S/M (Sadism and Masochism).

Now let’s get a little more personal…

What’s your favourite kinky hobby?

Findom, as I am dabbling with it at the moment and it is the ‘new shiny toy’ in My toolbox. Unable to choose only one, I also really enjoy training submissives. If someone comes to Me and is willing to learn, that excites Me!

And your favourite vanilla hobby?

Walking, eating, generally avoiding humans, doing yoga and working out.

What was your greatest achievement and your biggest failure?

Greatest achievement: being alive in my 50s. I have done some amazing and silly things and am constantly amazed at the fact that I am still alive!

Greatest failure: forgetting to press the ‘record’ button when videoing content.

What did your greatest achievement/biggest failure teach you about yourself?

That I am Badass!

What movie or book has influenced you the most?

Movie: Natural Born Killers. I saw this when I was in my 20’s. It was the first Tarantino movie I saw and it blew my mind. The way it was shot, it is very arty and shocking.

Book: Unleash the Giant Within, by Tony Robbins. Again, I read this in my 20’s and it was very empowering to realise that I have so much control over my own reactions to things and over my own thoughts.

Be curious. Never stop learning and asking questions.

Louise Payn, Fitness Domme

A few last questions for you…

Do you have any advice for young kinksters? And Dommes like yourself?

I have three pieces of advice for you!

  1. Take it slowly! Get to know people as people and then add the kink.
  2. Be curious. Never stop learning and asking questions.
  3. Hold your boundaries, submissives are greedy and so don’t be afraid to stop when you are done.

Will you share a funny anecdote from your life in the scene?

Where to start! At My second or third Cruel Huntress I was really undecided at the auction as to who to buy. There were quite a lot of prey and fewer Dommes, at this particular Hunt, so I waited until the end and bought four prey for 50p each. I turned them into my pack of dogs and took them into the woodland and played fetch with them all. It was much fun.

Haha! I absolutely love that. Would share a second one with me?

At the last KinkFest I went to, my partner and I befriended a lovely lady during the event. Sadly on the Sunday due to lack of sleep and overstimulation, the lady got an intense migraine and had to retreat to somewhere dark and quiet. The only place available that fitted that description was in the ‘glory hole’ part of the dungeon. We were taking turns keeping an eye on her and every time I passed over information about where she was, I had to say ‘she is in the glory hole’ it was pretty hilarious.

Now tell me, what does the future have in store for you?

Well, My crystal ball is currently out of commission, and so all I can do is hope My health continues to improve and I continue to be able to grow and share My love of Fitness, Yoga, our amazing kink world with people! I am branching out a little more into creating content in the New Year, audio and video. I also hope to get to more London events, in particular, the foot fetish and educational events.

Fabulous, thank you for your time Louise, and thank you for your thorough answers 🙂
